Advisory Boards

The Data Science Institute's certifications and programmes are shaped and governed by two boards — one keeping our standards relevant to industry practice, one safeguarding the standards themselves.

Industry Advisory Board

The Industry Advisory Board advises on the industry relevance of Data Science Institute certifications and curriculum. Its members are senior professionals from across sectors, and they keep content aligned with changing technologies, workforce needs and sector-specific developments.

Rachit Agarwal

Rachit is Chief Data Scientist at UnitedHealth Group in Dublin. He advises the board on applied data science practice in large organisations and on what employers expect of a certified analyst.

Mohammad Alrashed

Mohammad leads Business Process Improvement and AI at Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait. He advises on AI adoption in banking and on the conditions a regulated institution places around it.

Vinayak Deshpande

Vinayak is Chairman and Managing Director of Sankhya Analytical Research in Mumbai, a Partner at Sankhya Analytics London, and a Director of Medicounts Life Sciences. He advises from the analytics services and life sciences sectors, where his firms deliver analytical work to clients.

Dr Stephen Dorgan

Madonna Ghanem

Madonna is an independent AI transformation strategist, data scientist and executive advisor based in Kuwait. She is also a doctoral researcher and corporate trainer, and advises on how organisations adopt AI in practice.

Shruti Mandal

Shruti founded SkillSphere and Datatribe International in Mumbai. She previously worked in EU banking, as Business Intelligence Manager for Benelux at BNP Paribas Personal Finance and as a SAS specialist at Nationale-Nederlanden. She advises on regulatory reporting and data governance, including BIRD/IReF, FINREP, COREP, AnaCredit and GDPR.

Certifications Board

The Certifications Board owns the certification specifications, assessment standards and the governance of award decisions. Its decisions are independent of course delivery. Its members come from two traditions: professional-body qualification design, and university academic governance.

Dr Eva McMorrow

Eva chairs the MSc in Human Resource Management and Employment Relations at Atlantic Technological University in Ireland. Her background is in quality assurance across university and private-sector education, and she advises on how programmes are approved, examined and held to standard.

Clancy Peiris

Clancy is an educationalist, consultant and trainer in the UK. He is a Chartered Management Accountant and an Attorney at Law, and was previously Head of Learning Development at CIMA. He advises on how professional qualifications are designed and examined.

She is now an independent consultant in Kuala Lumpur.

Dr Sujata Suvarnapathaki
